Get in touchVanessa brings over more than two and a half decades of consulting experience, primarily in providing design and implementation guidance of federally funded projects and programs. She has developed several program policies, procedures, and successful implementation strategies for complex recovery efforts across the United States including Washington, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Vanessa has expertise in leveraging multiple complex fund requirements in determining cross-cutting compliance. She has provided organizational capacity building to private, nonprofit, and public sectors, particularly focused on quality assurance, quality control, forensic analysis, financial investigation, compliance, and monitoring.
Prior to joining Witt O’Brien’s Vanessa was most recently responsible for the design and implementation of the system of record for the State of New York’s Superstorm Sandy recovery. She was the Operations Lead Project Manager of the $869 million CDBG-DR funded Rental Property Programs for Louisiana’s Hurricane Katrina recovery as well as the Subject Matter Expert for the $56 million CDBG-DR funded Harris County Texas Homeowner repair and reconstruction program following hurricane Ike. She has also designed and technically supported FEMA and CDBG-DR Buyout and Acquisition for Redevelopment programs.
