Get in touchJason has over 28 years of experience in government emergency services. He has facilitated workshops, after-action reviews, and improvement plans for severe weather, flooding, infrastructure failure, civil unrest, and H1N1.
Jason has extensive experience in utilizing HSEEP principles in after-action reviews/implementation planning. He brings experience as a first responder, serving in the fire service and law enforcement responding to large, complex incidents, including earthquakes, civil unrest, weather-related incidents, and multiple large fires. He spent 15 years as a jurisdictional emergency manager in Sacramento, where he managed EOC activations and led post-incident reviews. He has been deployed on several incidents throughout California as part of the statewide mutual aid system serving in a variety of EOCs as an Operations Section Chief, Planning Section Chief, Liaison Officer, and Situation Unit Leader. Jason is an assessor with the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP), having participated in assessments across the country. He teaches emergency management and homeland security courses to government entities throughout the nation.
