Response Management
No commercial organization responds to more events than Witt O’Brien’s. We provide clients with a full suite of services to help make their response to crises more efficient and effective. We offer responders who have hands-on experience in strategic and tactical decision making, as opposed to equipment providers and response contractors who act under the direction of others. Our Incident Commanders and response professionals have managed or provided technical support for some of the largest natural disasters and environmental emergencies, including the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike, and Gustav.
Located in Slidell, Louisiana, our 24/7 Command Center is operated by trained responders and is the first call for the majority of our clients. The Command Center is supported by a fully redundant Command Center in Houston, Texas, and two mobile command posts that can be quickly transported where needed. Our incident management and spill response teams have been involved in some of the largest, most complex emergencies including natural disasters, fires, civil disturbances and pollution responses.
We have worked with government and industrial response teams at the local, state, federal, and international levels and are well-versed proponents of National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) for response. Witt O’Brien’s leverages extensive knowledge of FEMA and other federal agencies and state emergency management programs to make sure your response operations are properly documented. This provides accountability, maximizes your ability to obtain reimbursement for potentially eligible costs, and facilitates the transition from response operations to recovery implementation. Our response services are supported by Witt O’Brien’s proprietary automated ICS software, CommandPro®. This web-based software is used by clients to manage any type of event or multiple events, either on-scene or remotely, and is fully NIMS compliant.
